Why Practice Pilates?

“Contrology is designed to give you suppleness, natural grace, and skill that will be unmistakably reflected in the way you walk, in the way you play, and in the way you work.”

Joseph Pilates

Why Practice Pilates?

This is a question worth asking as you consider making Pilates a consistent part of your life. Pilates incorporates a series of full body movements to target core muscle strength and proper alignment of the spine.

Results from practicing Pilates may be seen in improved posture, better body balance, increased flexibility, and a stronger core- including your sides, back, and hips.

Breathing is also an important principle to Pilates. By connecting breath with movement, your abdominals remain engaged to further support a controlled pelvis while promoting increased circulation. This habit of breath awareness supports daily activities of life and helps relieve stress.

Pilates has improved my life. I am stronger, more balanced in my body, and better able to face the challenges of my day as well as the years to come. I hope you’ll join me in my practice! - Karen
